If you, like me, are trying to fill that massive hole left by the disappearance of bands such as The Stills…then look no further, it may have arrived in the form of newcomers – Invisible Hands.
Hailing from Leeds, Invisible Hands have been described as “The trans-Atlantic love child of The Verve and The Killers.” After a 2 year recording period in which they worked with producers such as Andy Hawkins (Pigeon Detectives / The Twang), the band have burst onto the Leeds music scene despite playing only a handful of gigs.
Their first single Storm, released July 1st, is an impressive four minute anthem with haunting melancholy vocals, atmospheric guitars and a chorus that hooks you in instantly. As is needed with debut singles, it makes a high impact and impression, leaving you interested in discovering what else this band can offer.
Future dates for the band include a return to London supporting Violet Bones at Mother on June 22nd, accompanying a Leeds date on June 21st at The Library.
We think this is one for the future…find out more at Invisible Hands Facebook Page
