Wirral lad Miles Kane from The Last Shadow Puppets rocked his way onto the stage at London’s Hard Rock Café to perform an intimate gig in honour of the restaurants 40th Anniversary! Perhaps a little on the small side in terms of venue size, but I’m sure most people will agree with me when I say – “the smaller the better!”
As we have seen with past performances from The Last Shadow Puppets and The Rascals, Miles Kane is definitely capable of jamming in venues a thousand times greater than The Hard Rock Café. His unique style of singing combined with his charismatic stage presence and incredible skills on the guitar can have the audience captivated within seconds! The Jimi Hendrex pictures along with John Lennon’s military jacket hanging on the wall could only compliment this fine young musicians performance and add flavour to the night.
We were definitely entertained as Miles blew us away with an astounding performance of ‘My Fantasy’ which is very similar to ‘Cry Baby Cry’ by The Beatles. It wasn’t long before we were then blown away by another fantastic track entitled ‘Come Closer’. It is quite easy to see why Miles Kane is often described as a modern day Paul Mcartney – I mean come on, he doesn’t just sound like him, he clearly looks him too!
His performance soon came to an end with the instantly recognizable first solo single Miles Kane ever released – ‘Inhaler’. What better way to finish things off than with such a fast paced track that will really leave everybody fresh and bursting with energy.
If you’re feeling quite left out and wish you had been there then don’t worry yourself too much, you can catch the whole thing on AbsoluteRadio.co.uk! The session will be available as of 7pm on the 4th October.
