Take That take their Progress tour to Villa Park, Birmingham on a rain sodden Monday evening. The stage set, as we’ve come to expect, is pretty spectacular. Take That never fail to put on a good show. With a 200 ft Stage, Giant robot, Gas Masked Dancers and what can only be described as Bees on roller skates the five piece rattle through the huge arsenal of hits.
The light show is truly amazing. The longest serving 4 members perform the hits from when Robbie was a distant memory including ‘Shine‘, ‘Rule the world‘ and ‘Patience‘ and are joined by the egotistical Robbie for the old hits including ‘Back for good‘ and ‘Pray‘.
But not before Williams busts outs some of his own solo attempts with ‘Let me entertain you‘ and of course ‘Angels‘. He greets the crowd with “Hello Birmingham – remember me? I’m Robbie f**kin Williams”
This is the first full tour as a five piece in over 15, yes 15 years! It was truly worth the wait. I’d say there were swarms of 30-40-something women leaving happy tonight and feeling like a teenager once again! Myself included!
