After huge success state side in which The Black Keys sold out Madison Square Gardens in less than 20 minutes the Detroit band hit the UK. The Black Keys are by no means new to the circuit having been knocking around for over 10 years but it’s new album El Camino that seems to have caught the attention of the great British public, going gold already! Their current UK tour including 3 nights at Alexandra Palace has also sold out!

Their exciting mix of old skool blues with catchy crowd pleasing riffs and chorus’s is on display tonight at Manchester’s Apollo. Well know tracks, such as, Lonely Boy and Gold on the Ceiling attract rapturous reaction as to be expected. The band are not afraid of playing some of their more heavier stuff either Money Maker for example. Thickfreakness had a certain magic between Gus and John.

The band emit a live buzz which is in the air in abundance tonight. With their truly awesome pumped up guitar riffs and their pure coolness and ability to ooze rock and roll from every pore, this is one show not to be missed.
