Athlete amongst more acts added to Hop Farm Festival

Some more acts have been announced to this year’s Hop Farm Festival including Athlete, Jose Gonzales and I Am Kloot. They will join an exciting collection already on the bill to play the Kent festival including Bob Dylan, Suede and Peter Gabriel. The line-up has grown from strength to strength throughout the last few months and fails to disappoint each year.

Athlete are no strangers to the festival circuit and have some big performances under their belt from the past. It’s a rare outing for the band of late though and one that will no doubt be well appreciated.

Last year Hop Farm Festival won ‘Best upcoming festival’ in annual awardsThe Giggies‘ voted for by the public and fighting off some strong competition.

Beady Eye, meanwhile, have ruled themselves out. Liam Gallagher confirmed this to fans on twitter with “The mighty Beady Eye will not be performing at Hop Farm this year“. This comes after some posters were spotted with the ex-Oasis front mans band on the line-up. Apparently, a festival spokesman told the NME that the posters were accidentally leaked and that the band will definitely not be appearing at the event.

Richard Ashcroft, Damien Rice, Primal Scream, My Morning Jacket, Maximo Park, Ray Davies and Gomez are also playing over the weekend of June 29th – July 1st at Paddock Wood, Kent.
