Bloc party are back! Many thought they would never see the day that Kele reformed with other band mates after his solo jaunt, but the band have announced that after 2 years they will be performing three intimate shows ahead of a hectic summer of festival spots. The band will be showcasing new material to give fans a chance to see what the new material is like as well as dipping into the more familiar arsenal they have from their 10 year history.
The London four piece recently announced their singing to Frenchkiss Records while they’re work in the studio on their new album.
The three shows will kick off at The Garage, Islington on 19th June moving onto The Ritz, Manchester on the 20th june and finishing at Koko, Camden on the 21st June.
Kele announced this morning to fans – “Hello internet, I know it’s been a long two and half years since bloc party last performed in the UK. Well it seems that wait is over, we are happy to announce a short run of intimate shows for our friends in the UK and our friends in the US. We will be playing choice cuts from our new record as well as some more familiar jams. We hope to see you soon.”
