After 2 years since last album “Falcon“, The Courteeners make a long awaited return with new album “Anna” and a handful of live dates. The new album is released on 4th February which will preceded by “Lose Control” the band’s latest single on 28th January through the V2 record label.
The Courteeners gave festival fans at this year’s Reading & Leeds and T In the Park a preview of new material from “Anna”. “Lose Control” opens with an addictive hook followed by Liam Fray’s distinctive vocals which then catapult in a huge chorus of drums and melody. It the perfect introduction to the new sound of the bands third album and you can listen to a teaser of the track here.
The band have been working hard at Manchester’s Hertz Studios with producer Joe Cross (Hurts) and songwriter and front man Liam Fray says, “ANNA is a new chapter sonically for Courteeners. Our music, like our minds, has evolved and expanded. We have re-arrived – Welcome to the rave”
The Courteeners will be performing new tracks from the album at two special gigs this December, returning to Manchester’s MEN Arena for a headline homecoming show and performing as part of XFM’s Winter Wonderland at Brixton Academy. Full dates are as follows:
Dec 7th Manchester MEN Arena
