With the August Bank Holiday quickly approaching the countdown is on for one of the biggest events in the festival calendar.
In seven weeks time thousands of music fans will descend on Richfield Avenue and Bramham Park for the legendary Reading and Leeds Festival.
What was once known as a festival for rock lovers has since exploded into a diverse music event providing everything from heavy metal and indie, straight through to providing a platform for the best up and coming artists and musicians.
Taking to the main stage and headlining the festival this year are the legends that are Metallica, who will be headlining Reading and Leeds for the fourth time. First time headliners Mumford and Sons will also be returning to the festival after four years, only this time they will be making their mark on the main stage.
Many thought the day would never come, however fans of The Libertines can rejoice as the band return to the stage as headliners to hopefully play a sneak peak of some new music.
Across the weekend there are some epic performances planned with what could be argued as one of the festival’s best line-ups to date. Also taking to the Main Stage across the weekend are Panic! At the Disco, Bastille, Bring Me The Horizon, Neck Deep and The Gaslight Anthem.
Over on the Radio 1/NME stage Limp Bizkit, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Years and Years and Deadmau5 will be putting on what will no doubt be show stopping performances.
Also performing over the weekend are New Found Glory, Mastodon, Charli XCX, Alt-J, Parma Violets, Slaves and Twin Peaks.
With seven stages bringing together a host of some of the best names in music, festival lovers can be rest assured that Reading and Leeds 2015 is going to be a good one.
Tickets are selling out fast for this summer’s event – with Wednesday early passes already sold out. Weekend tickets are still available at £205.00 plus an £8.00 booking fee. More information can be found on the Official Reading and Leeds website.
